Our ProgramsPaid EmploymentThe Infrastructure Academy has launched Generation Power, a non-profit social enterprise to employ students in water conservation, energy efficiency, and other sustainability projects. In 2009 43 young people worked for Generation Power to conduct 120 high school and middle school water audits on contract to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Students also analyzed the water bills of the district and made recommendations on how to reduce water usage. Check out the report here. Future projects will focus on additional water conservation projects as well as energy efficiency/lighting projects.
