Apply now for programs starting on July 7 and July 14. Deadline for application is June 30.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the Academy is competitive. Academy programs begin in July 2008. Following are the minimal eligibility criteria:

1. High school sophomore, junior, senior, or a 2008 graduate at the time of admission

2. Be interested in a career in the skilled trades and/or engineering

3. Commit to constant participation 2 full days each week during the 6-week Summer Institute, twice a week after-school, and about one Saturday per month

4. Have a legal right to work in the United States

5. No felony convictions

Application Process

The application process begins with a simple two-page application. Academy staff will review each application and will ask you to complete a 15-minute online assessment. Academy staff may ask for additional information, including transcripts and references from teachers.
